World Market is building off the company’s position as a merchant of international goods as it approaches the holidays, showcasing goods for such occasions as Dia de Muertos and Diwali to go with programs for such traditional U.S. celebrations as Christmas and Halloween.
The landing page on the World Market website currently opens on a banner for Advent calendars over graphic links to collections dubbed 1,000+ Ornaments, Christmas Houses & Villages, and Get Ready for Celebration, with Old Fashioned glasses featured on the click-through to an array of holiday hosting gear.
A banner, Your Halloween Scene, continues to hang over a pair of graphic links, “Halloween Decor” from $4.99, featuring decorating pieces and festive versions of everyday items such as soap dispensers’ and “Serve Up Something Spooky,” focused on food and drink.
A fall clearance promotion includes decor, dining, kitchen, wall decor, mirrors, furniture, rugs and outdoor products.
The World Market website incorporates a page dedicated to Dia de Muertos, the Mexican celebration that’s become more recognized across the United States in association with Halloween. The page presents such items as a Sugar Skull Hand Painted Figural Ceramic Mug priced at $6.99; a Orange Glass Monarch Butterfly Mosaic Tealight Candle Holder priced at $9.99; and a Dia De los Muertos Catrin Figurine decor piece featuring a skeletal couple dressed for a night on the town, priced at $49.99.
The website also offers a dedicated Diwali page, explaining the holiday as a five-day Festival of Lights celebrating the “triumph of radiance over darkness and good over evil.” Known primarily as a Hindu holiday, Diwali is observed by multiple religions with a spirit of renewal and togetherness.
