Target Launching Home Products, More Ahead of ‘Wicked: For Good’ Film Release

Target Corp. is introducing a new product collection inspired by Universal Pictures’ forthcoming film, “Wicked: For Good,” featuring some 200 new items across several categories, including home goods and a dedicated lineup of Stanley products.

Target, which has frequently featured limited-time designer collections, also recently announced a pop-culture-related collection tied to the final season of the popular streaming show “Stranger Things.” 

Consumers can shop products related to “Wicked: For Good” throughout Target stores and via a dedicated destination on target.com, the company reported. Almost half the Wicked product assortment is exclusive to Target and priced under $20. The collection officially rolls out starting October 5 with additional product drops leading up to the film’s release in theaters on November 21.

Wicked Stanley 1913 tumblers (pictured above) in 20-, 30- and 40-ounce sizes have launched at Target, priced between $35-$55. In addition, Target will offer the Wicked: For Good x Katie Kime Collection, which includes a home décor component rolling out on October 12 and an apparel and accessories collection following on November 2.

The latest Wicked collection comes after Target unveiled an extensive product assortment, including its then-partner Ulta Beauty, related to the first film in the two-part series. The “Wicked” and “Wicked: For Good” films cover the story related in the hit stage production “Wicked.”

“Last year, Target was the go-to for all things Wicked, and we can’t wait to help Glinda and Elphaba fans everywhere celebrate the epic conclusion of this incredible story,” said Jill Sando, Target executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of apparel & accessories, home and hardlines. “We’re bringing the magic of a cultural phenomenon to life with an assortment of products featuring great design, beloved brands and incredible value to help everyone embrace the magic of the Land of Oz in a uniquely Target way.”

In addition, Target is preparing to offer a promotion associated with the release of the Taylor Swift album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” without an extensive corresponding product component.
