After emerging from bankruptcy under new ownership and a pared-down store portfolio, Big Lots has slated its grand opening celebration to start at 9 a.m. on Thursday, October 30.
Now owned by Variety Wholesalers, Big Lots banner already has initiated a kickoff event that will continue through October 5, with customers getting 10% off everything in the store, excluding prepaid gift cards.
Big Lots reopened in 15 of the United States after Variety acquired the banner’s intellectual property and 219 store locations. The October 30 grand opening will serve not only to celebrate Big Lots’ revival but also as the banner’s official launch into the holiday season, providing customers with their first access to seasonal savings on festive décor and gift-giving options.
Big Lots remains a destination for deals and brand-name savings across every product categories, Variety noted, and highlights of the new store presentation include:
- Seasonal and holiday goods including décor and gift items at value prices.
- A full assortment of everyday essentials and surprises from stylish home décor and everyday apparel to non-perishable grocery staples and seasonal items.
- An expanded furniture assortment developed based on customer feedback and demand for more styles, functions and price points for every home.
- A new family-oriented apparel department with popular brands at sharp prices.
