Meijer will open two new stores on September 30, adding a supercenter in Plymouth Township, MI, and a Meijer Grocery location in Fishers, IN.
As part of Meijer’s ongoing expansion effort, the new 159,000-square-foot supercenter will increase the company’s Michigan store count to 130. A Meijer Express fuel station will operate adjacent, debuting on September 2 to begin drawing consumers to the location. Plymouth Township shoppers will be able to access Meijer’s popular savings and digital shopping tools, including mPerks, the company loyalty program, Shop & Scan, home delivery and pickup, Meijer said.
“The value and convenience provided by our Meijer supercenters is unmatched and we’re excited to bring that to customers in Plymouth Township looking for a one-stop shop,” said Maureen Mitchell, Meijer vice president for the southeast Michigan region, in announcing the opening. “We’re deeply invested in this area and look forward to strengthening existing partnerships and creating new ones here with local organizations.”
Also on September 30, Meijer will welcome Fishers customers to a 75,000-square-foot grocery format store for the first time. On opening, the Fishers location (rendering pictured above) will become the second Meijer Grocery location in Indiana and the retailer’s 45th store in the state.

Meijer operates some 500 supercenters, grocery stores, neighborhood markets and express locations throughout the midwestern United States.
