Amazon is encouraging consumers to let its Rufus AI agent do the shopping and purchasing for them as the company prepares its Big Spring Sale.
Amazon said the agentic AI shopping assistant can find deals, track markdowns, and set up price alerts for shoppers that will let them know when products they covet reach a certain price. Even as they do so, shoppers can enable “Auto Buy” and have Rufus purchase items automatically when they hit a target price, marking a prominent move to bring agentic AI to its retail fruition as an automated buying service for consumers.
Automatic purchasing using artificial intelligence has the potential not only of mitigating cart abandonment among consumers who forget to purchase their carts during the sale, then empty them after the savings event finishes, but it also can deliver a wealth of data in areas such as price tolerance for specific items and categories.
The Amazon Big Spring Sale 2026 will run from March 25-31, featuring end-of-season savings at Amazon Outlet, bargains on spring seasonal merchandise and discounts on Easter-related products set to suit a wide range of budgets, the company maintained.
Consumers can explore deals across more than 35 categories as they shop seasonal refreshes for the home, lawn and garden supplies, spring fashion staples and new seasonal beauty items. They can find bargains on spring groceries and household essentials, too, such as Easter dinner bundles, brunch needs and pantry restock items. Prime members can get exclusive savings via Best Deals displaying the Prime Spring Deal badge.
The promotion will also include Big Spring Sale Top 100 Plus lists, curated collections of seasonal picks. Among them, the Top 100+ Health & Wellness will cover premium beauty, personal care, wellness products and vitamins, Amazon noted. Top 100 Plus Spring Favorites also will cover seasonal goods for refreshing homes, wardrobes and routines. In addition, each day of the sale will spotlight special discounts aligned with seasonal shopping needs under designations such as Easter Essentials, Home Refresh, Spring Beauty, Spring Cleaning and Travel Must-Haves.
