Dollar General Corp. has appointed Travis Nixon to the newly-established position of senior vice president of artificial intelligence optimization to lead the retailer’s business process management initiatives involving AI application.
In his new role, Nixon will identify and drive chainwide optimization opportunities in operations including merchandising, supply chain and store operations, the company stated. Before his DG appointment, Nixon served as head of AI for the Dropbox Security Division, for which he led that company’s transformation into an AI-driven organization, Dollar General indicated.
