Bed Bath & Beyond has promoted Amy Sullivan to president, with responsibility across the entire operation.
The appointment follows Sullivan’s move into Bed Bath & Beyond leadership with the company’s Brand House Collective acquisition, which included the Kirkland’s Home business as its foundation. As Bed Bath & Beyond president, Sullivan will oversee the company’s business across all three of its strategic pillars, Omni Channel Retail, Products and Services, and Home Services. Sullivan (pictured above) joined Kirkland’s in 2012, rising from divisional merchandise manager to president and CEO and helping guide a merger with what was then Beyond. As CEO of The Brand House Collective, she led the operating entity through its transformation into a multi-brand retail operator that included Kirkland’s Home, Beyond’s Bed Bath & Beyond, Overstock, Buy Buy Baby operations. Beyond changed its corporate name to Bed Bath & Beyond last summer. Bed Bath & Beyond last week revealed it has come to an agreement to acquire The Container Store.
Sullivan’s appointment reflects Bed Bath & Beyond’s continued commitment to operational discipline, brand clarity and a customer-first approach to long-term value creation, the company stated. Sullivan will work with Bed Bath & Beyond leadership team to accelerate execution against key priorities, including improving conversion, expanding gross profit and enhancing customer satisfaction, the company added, while continuing to streamline operations and invest in high-impact growth initiatives.
“Amy is a decisive leader with a merchant’s mindset and an operator’s discipline,” said Marcus Lemonis, Bed Bath & Beyond executive chairman and CEO. “Our priority is clear: strengthen the foundation, simplify the business and execute with consistency. Amy is able to do that. She will be instrumental in aligning our brands and teams to deliver sustainable, profitable growth.”
