Posted In: Retail Articles

Business services platform Salesforce expects 2025 Cyber Week — Thursday, November 27 through Monday, December 1 — to generate a record-breaking $334 billion in global sales, $73 billion of which will be attributable to the influence of AI and agents.

The AI agent contribution is up 22% from 2024, Salesforce indicated. Retailers in the United States that have agents available in their own operations have experienced seven times the sales growth, up 13%, compared with those without, up 2%, in the seven weeks leading up to mid November, Salesforce added.

Salesforce reported, Cyber Week sales should reach $334 billion worldwide, up 6% year over year, and $78 billion in the U.S., up 3% year over year.

Salesforce research indicates holiday shopping gained momentum through mid-November, the company noted, with buying signals significantly stronger than was the case in the fall of 2024. From October 1 to November 15, online sales growth increased 3% year over year in the U.S.. During this same period, digital traffic to e-commerce sites grew substantially, doubling in the U.S. and tripling globally.

Salesforce anticipates brick-and-mortar sales driving 65% of U.S. holiday revenue during Cyber Week. Mobile will account for the majority of online sales, the company asserted. Black Friday will remain the biggest day of the year for online shopping, with U.S. sales reaching $18 billion, according to Salesforce.

As for Cyber Week discounts, Salesforce expects the home category, including furniture, dining, decor and appliances, to see average discounts of 23%-off in the U.S. The company expects general apparel to experience the biggest price cuts, at 37%, followed by health and beauty at 35%.
