HomeGoods Invites Early Holiday Decorators to ‘Deck the Everything’ Event

Posted In: Retail Articles

HomeGoods will run its third annual Deck the Everything Day on November 1 to encourage shopping by consumers eager to get a jump on holiday decorating.

HomeGoods stores across the United States will open an hour early on November 1, and the TJX Cos. banner will sponsor a limited-time social giveaway to spark enthusiasm for the promotion.

A recent HomeGoods survey found that 63% of people believe early decorating comes with judgment, a perception that has grown 13% year over year. This year, HomeGoods is teaming with Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry-Housley, stars of the television show “Sister Sister,” to support the 72% of early decorators who say the holidays spark a special side of themselves.

The HomeGoods promotion incorporates multiple themes, or what the banner characterizes as “carols.”  As such, a Pretty in Pinkmas Carol relates to garlands, bows and pink-toned coloration, while Pining for Plaid Carol associates with classic ornaments and holiday nostalgia, according to HomeGoods.

Inv connection with the Deck the Everything Day promotion, HomeGoods’ social initiative will run as a giveaway on the banner’s Instagram channel from October 29–31.

“Deck the Everything Day isn’t just about decorating early,” said Samantha Kussmann, HomeGoods manager of marketing. “It’s about celebrating the joy of embracing who you are during the holidays. Whether you’re a maximalist or minimalist, nostalgic or glam, HomeGoods offers unique selection of décor at an incredible value to help bring your inner ‘’HomeGoods Holiday Carol to life.”
