An Adobe Holiday Shopping report indicated online retail activity for November 2025 increased by 7.2% year over year to $123.17 billion.
Adobe reported Black Friday looks to have garnered $11.7 billion in consumer spend versus $10.8 billion on the date a year earlier, with furniture and home goods spending at $31.8 billion compared to $29.2 billion in 2024. During the weekend shopping period, consumers spending on Thanksgiving day is expected to come in at $6.4 billion when final numbers arrive versus $6.1 billion during Thanksgiving day 2024. Adobe pegged consumer spending on Saturday, November, 29, 2025, at $5.8 billion versus $5.3 billion in the year prior.
Consumers generated $65.5 billion in mobile dollars in November, up 7.1% year over year. Mobile represented more than half of November’s online spend, at 52.6%.
Adobe now sees consumer online spending from November 1 to November 23 hitting $253.4 billion in contrast with $241.1 billion spent in 2024. Although it didn’t give a dollar total, the company added AI generated traffic has increased about 770% in November year over year.
Adobe also noted discounts deepened during Black Friday. For example, the average discount offered on the date was 18.6% in furniture and 20.2% in appliances versus 16.8% in furniture and 18.2% in appliances the Wednesday immediately before Thanksgiving, and 1.2% and 2.1%, respectively, on November 1.
