SharkNinja has launched the Shark AquaReach vacuum/mop combo with an integrated extendable wand designed to clean hard-to-reach areas such as baseboards, windowsills, cabinet fronts and other hard surfaces.
The company pointed to TikTok and other social media, where consumers have shared cleaning hacks to reach places floor cleaners may not access, creating DIY workarounds to finish the job. SharkNinja said the trend helped identify an unmet need that led to the development of AquaReach.
“People weren’t creating cleaning hacks because they wanted to — they were creating them because they had to,” said Petra Oman, vice president of marketing at SharkNinja. “They showed us what was missing. AquaReach was built around the way people were cleaning, combining vacuuming, mopping and extended reach so they can tackle more of the mess in one routine.”
AquaReach handles wet and dry messes simultaneously with a continuously rotating brushroll, using a jet of cleaning solution to loosen and scrub stuck-on debris while suction lifts away dirt and dirty liquid.
For cleaning beyond floors, the integrated extendable wand brings vacuuming and mopping power to surfaces the nozzle can’t reach with two specialized tools: the Stain Scrubber uses targeted spray and powerful suction to remove stuck-on messes from floors, baseboards, windowsills, behind toilets and bathtub ledges; and the Detailer Mop reaches under furniture, along edges and into tight corners for targeted mopping and debris pickup, the company said.
AquaReach refreshes its brushroll while cleaning to help prevent dirty water and debris from being redeposited onto floors. A dual-tank system keeps clean and dirty water separate and an on-dock rinse cycle flushes the brushroll after each use.
The AquaReach Pro adds a Total Self-Cleaning and Drying System. Its Self-Sanitizing Dock rinses the brush roll and dries it with air heated to 160°F. SharkNinja said the system is designed to reduce odors and eliminate 99.99% of bacteria.
Additional features for the Pro include the Edge-Optimized Nozzle, designed to clean closer to baseboards and edges, and the LED Reveal Beam, which illuminates dust, crumbs, hair and other debris.
The Shark AquaReach ($399.99) and AquaReach Pro ($529.99) are now available on SharkNinja.com and TikTok Shop, with additional colors and retail availability coming soon.
