For this holiday season, Target is emphasizing flexibility, ease and value, and an early start.

The retailer’s holiday push kicks off from October 6-8, when it will hold a Target Deal Days event featuring hundreds of thousands of bargains, the company noted. The Deal Days will provide Target customers with the earliest access to deep holiday savings on must-have items and everyday essentials, the company indicated. Among the product segments, Target plans to feature are festive food and beverage items, family apparel, gifts, home décor and, of course, toys including those from its arrangement with FAO Schwarz.

Target will continue introducing deals throughout the holiday season as well, it added.

From October 6-December 24, Target will offer its Holiday Price Match Guarantee, so if it lowers any product price after a customer purchase in the period, the retailer will match them.

To get customers through the upcoming holiday season, Target stated that it plans to hire up to 100,000 seasonal employees in stores and supply chain facilities across the United States.

“The holidays are a treasured time when our guests come together with family and friends to celebrate the joy of the season, and we’re here to make that as easy as possible for them to enjoy,” said Christina Hennington, Target executive vp and chief growth officer. “That’s why we’re rolling out deals earlier than ever and ensuring our team is ready to help our guests shop when and how they want. Throughout the season, guests will discover new and differentiated items for gifting and gathering, including only-at-Target owned brands and must-have national brands, and they can expect great deals and everyday low prices at every turn for an unmatched holiday shopping experience.”
