Sam’s Club is launching holiday initiatives that showcase discounts on membership fees and expanded operating hours.
Through October 31, consumers can sign up for a $15 Club or a $50 Plus membership, the Walmart division announced. The standard fees are $35 for the Club and $60 for the Plus memberships. Sam’s is hosting an Open House event, running from Friday, October 17, through Sunday, October 19, for consumers who want a look around before committing to a membership.
In addition, Sam’s is waiving the minimum purchase requirement on curbside pickup and updated the Express delivery fees for Plus members who now pay $8 per order with no minimum purchase versus $16 if the order was for less than $50 previously. Club members continue to pay a $20 flat rate for an Express order.
New hours run from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for curbside pickup, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. for exclusive Plus member shopping and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Club and Plus member shopping.
As part of its outreach to consumers, Sam’s has developed a campaign dubbed “Yes AND” to highlight value throughout the holiday. Actor Chris Pratt will represent the campaign.
