Crate & Kids has launched its first collaboration with designer Louis Roe’s Sharland England brand, featuring products ranging from furniture and textiles to home decor and storage.
The collection is presented in modern and unique silhouettes, offers what Crate & Kids describes as a sense of “playfulness and old-world craftsmanship” tailored for baby and kids products. The designs also reference heirlooms and country gardens, the Crate & Barrel banner added.
Bamboo is an important style element in the collection, and rattan appears in several instances including as applied in a storage basket, a wall shelf unit including hanging pegs, a mirror and even a semi flushmount light fixture. Crate & Kids prices the Folklore Wicker Floor Basket by Sharland England at $169.
“A childhood bedroom is a space that’s always ingrained in your memory,” Roe said. “It should feel playful but also cozy and cocooning. It was an absolute joy to use the colors and materials I often incorporate into Sharland England — terracotta, rattan, florals, linen — and transform them into a children’s collection.”
