Macy’s Setting the Stage for Holiday Festivities

Posted In: Retail Articles

As the year turns to autumn, Macy’s has begun a holiday countdown by commencing its 100 Days to Christmas promotion, which includes unveiling its Top 100 Holiday Gifts and a new Santa national tour.

Macy’s is offering curated and exclusive holiday gift ideas across price points to help customers through the season and their shopping lists, the company stated. By offering early shopping opportunities, Macy’s aims to give customers a chance to experience the season, it added.

The Top 100 Holiday Gifts constitute a curated selection of unique gifts at every price point, the company noted. Macy’s will provide more than 40% newness across the holiday assortment, the company asserted. Top 100 holiday gifts include a Dyson V8 Absolute Cordless Vacuum for $589.99, a SMEG Electric Kettle for $229.95 and the Cellar Stainless Steel 8-quart Covered Oval Roaster with Rack at $85.

Macy’s famous Herald Square location will offer a curated blend of experiences mixing entertainment and retail this holiday season, according to the company. The store will offer an expanded market featuring curated local vendors, unique shopping opportunities and customizable gifts on the lower level from November 1 to January 4, 2026.

New this holiday, Macy’s State Street in Chicago will host a Holiday Square Market beginning November 26 and continuing through December 24. Macy’s developed the initiatives in partnership with Bensidoun USA, an operator of French open-air markets. As such, State Street will deliver French culture and style to Chicagoans with fresh, locally grown produce, seasonal flowers, festive food and more holiday gifting.

Macy’s emphasized that its holiday celebrations have become part annual tradition for customers across the United States, from the animated window displays at Macy’s Herald Square to the candy windows at Macy’s City Creek Center in Salt Lake City to the Walnut Room’s Great Tree and holiday dining at Macy’s State Street, which will help bring an added dimension to the company’s year-end consumer outreach.

This year, Macy’s Holiday Lane will return to the 9th floor of the Herald Square flagship. Located just above the store’s Santaland, Holiday Lane incorporates seasonal displays, twinkling lights and an exclusive assortment of holiday décor and gifts, Macy’s indicated. In addition to Herald Square, Macy’s stores nationwide have Holiday Lane, or Trim floors, where customers can find products created exclusively for Macy’s.

“Macy’s creates memories and has been part of our customers’ traditions for generations,” said Sharon Otterman, Macy’s chief marketing officer, in announcing the holiday promotions. “We’re celebrating 100 days until Christmas because anticipation is part of the magic. Wonderful stories start here. We aim to deliver joy and create memories throughout the holiday season.”
