Ikea U.S. plans to open a new small-format namesake store in the Cleveland suburb of Westlake, OH, during the spring of 2027.
The 80,000-square-foot store will be the company’s third location in Ohio.
Shoppers can browse more than 5,400 products at the store, Ikea noted, with 3,250 items available for immediate takeaway. For larger items such as sofas, beds and storage products, consumers can place orders in-store or online and schedule pickup onsite or for home delivery.
In support of Ikea’s sustainability commitments, the Westlake store will include an as-is area featuring gently used, discontinued and returned products at reduced prices, Ikea stated.
The company opened new Ikea small-format stores in Arcadia, CA and San Marcos, TX, in its fiscal 2025. Ikea operates scaled-down versions of its superstores, as well as pick-up and order points, which provide access to Ikea experts who can help consumers choose kitchens, bedrooms and bathroom products for delivery, as well as a place to pick up online purchases. The company also struck a deal with Best Buy for shops in its stores.
“As we continue growing our presence across the U.S., we’re focused on meeting customers where they are and creating more convenient ways to shop with IKEA,” said Rob Olson, COO, IKEA U.S. “Westlake represents an exciting opportunity to connect with more people in Northern Ohio and help them create homes that reflect their needs, style and budget.”
