Smart home, giftware, holiday décor and power tools are among the product categories Home Depot is highlighting as part of its holiday promotions, with some novelty items thrown in.
The official Home Depot holiday décor launch begins the week of October 5, when the collection starts rolling out in stores nationwide. Beginning October 29, the retailer will launch holiday savings on gifts including power tools, smart home products and entertaining essentials.
To prime the selling pump, the company will debut a Holiday Sweater (pictured above) on October 1, a first-time novelty item stocked with tools to help with holiday decorating and gift assembly. The Home Depot Holiday Sweater includes tools and accessories with a combined value of more than $150 for $29.99, the company noted. Tools include a Husky 6-in-1 screwdriver, 25-foot tape measure, 8-inch standard slip joint pliers and an 850-lumen dual-power LED rechargeable wide-angle headlamp, plus a DeWalt 9-inch torpedo level, Command Clear outdoor light clips and a 10-pack of mechanical pencils with replacement lead. The sweater also includes a $50 peppermint-scented Home Depot gift card. A limited run of the sweaters will launch at 11 a.m. Eastern Time on October 1, with a second opportunity to purchase them on October 15, while supplies last, limited to one per customer.
Home Depot is also introducing a limited-edition 2-gallon holiday bucket for storage, projects, gifting and seasonal décor. Home Depot will launch the holiday buckets on October 1 for $2.98, while supplies last. The company will stock the buckets in stores by mid-October.
