Dollar General Celebrates America’s 250th With Summer Housewares Deals

To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, Dollar General has launched the “Stars, Stripes and Savings” event, a promotion slated to continue through Independence Day 2026.

According to the company, the event reflects Dollar General’s 85-year mission of delivering value and convenience, complemented by a broad range of patriotic merchandise, 85% of which is priced at $5 or less. 

Dollar General is offering a wide assortment of merchandise to help customers prepare for July 4th around the home, including Uncle Sam-themed salt and pepper shakers, hot dog holders, picnic blankets, drink tumblers, coolers and serveware.

In addition, Dollar General has a series of Independence Day-focused discounts:

  • June 1-6. Food and beverage price cuts set to jumpstart summer entertaining.
  • June 7-13. Backyard barbecue essentials deals ranging from charcoal to coolers.
  • June 14-20. Patriotic outdoor fun support via savings on themed and outdoor décor, pools and water toys, select apparel and gift cards.
  • June 21-27. Travel and stay-cation bargains across the sun and personal care product assortment as well as other affordable summer merchandise.
  • June 28-30. A countdown to July 4th featuring specials on food and beverage items.
