The Bed Bath & Beyond initiative to counter-program Amazon’s Prime Day emerged with a bit of a portfolio twist by pairing the namesake banner promotion with one at buybuy BABY.
The retailer announced that its Beyond BIG Savings Event would be bigger and better this year with free same day delivery for orders $39 or more, as well as a rewards offer that will generate up to $100 for future customer purchases. It also promised bargains on thousands of deals for every room of the home and surrounding outdoor spaces.
Bed Bath & Beyond, like some other retailers, decided to get a jump on Prime Day by launching its promotion a day early, on June 20, and extending it to when Amazon finishes its two-day annual event, June 22.
Elsewhere in the portfolio, the company scheduled its buybuy BABY Big Baby Savings Event for the same June 20 to 22 period. It will link that to a promotion held earlier that provided buybuy BABY customers with rewards for a future purchase.
In addition, Bed Bath & Beyond determined to provide online or in-store customers shopping the Beyond Big Savings Event $50 in MyFunds for spending $200 and $100 for spending $400, which can apply to a future purchase at Bed Bath & Beyond.
Consumers in eligible zip codes have the option of tapping same-day delivery service, buy online/pickup in store or pickup curbside via bedbathandbeyond.com or buybuybaby.com.

- Up to 40% off rugs
