Amazon has upgraded its suite of AI shopping tools with a new feature, Help Me Decide, to help users select from several options to affirm and finalize purchase decisions.
Now, consumers browsing through similar items will find a Help Me Decide button appearing at the top of the product detail page, the company noted. By tapping the Help Me Decide button, Amazon AI reviews the consumer’s browsing activity, searches, shopping history and preferences to make a product recommendation. Consumers can also access Help Me Decide by tapping Keep Shopping For on their homepages to resume a search they started earlier.
The recommendation includes an explanation of why the Help Me Decide pick is a good choice, Amazon stated, and highlights relevant features, provides insights from customer reviews and explains how the choice aligns with the shopper’s previous purchases and preferences. In addition to the recommendation, the Help Me Decide page includes an Upgrade Pick and a Budget Option click-through so consumers can further explore their options.
Amazon AI tools developed for consumer support also include Shopping Guides that simplify research by offering recommendations for hundreds of product types and the Rufus shopping assistant, which answers real-time questions to quickly provide item details and comparisons, as well as access to previous orders.
