Newell Brands’ Rubbermaid group has expanded its Rubbermaid Brilliance portfolio to include products featuring Tritan Renew copolyester from Eastman, made with certified recycled content.
Originally launched in 2016 with legacy Tritan copolyester, Rubbermaid Brilliance is known for food storage performance, clarity and durability, the company said. The introduction of Tritan Renew into select food storage and pantry containers marks an evolution of the material used in the collection while maintaining its existing product designs.
“Our continued collaboration with Eastman reflects a shared commitment to pushing what’s possible in food storage,” said Waylon Good, vice president of brand management for Rubbermaid food storage products. “By bringing Tritan Renew into Rubbermaid Brilliance products, we’re able to combine performance, clarity and durability with thoughtful material innovation, so we can keep delivering products that make everyday food storage easier, better and more inspiring for the consumer.”
The products include Rubbermaid Brilliance food storage containers in rectangular and round formats, as well as pantry containers designed to keep dry goods fresh and organized. Products made with Tritan Renew offer stain-, odor- and shatter-resistance along with patented leakproof, microwave-safe lids, according to Rubbermaid.
Rubbermaid selected Tritan Renew as part of its effort to explore materials that support food-contact-safe performance, the company said. Eastman provided technical support to integrate the material into existing Brilliance product designs.
Rubbermaid Brilliance food storage products made with Tritan Renew are available now at major retailers.
