Prepara has introduced the Berry Pod, a new addition to its Pod on-the-go food storage lineup designed to help keep berries fresh for extended periods.
Building on the company’s Salad Pod, the Berry Pod is designed to address a common frustration with berries: They spoil quickly or become soggy when packed with other foods.
The Berry Pod features a removable inner basket designed to promote airflow and separation to help maintain freshness while supporting a more organized, mess-free eating experience at home, at work or on the go, according to Prepara.
For cleaning, the removable basket and watertight container are designed to simplify soaking and rinsing fruit. Once the fruit is cleaned, users remove the lid and pour out the water from the top to drain. The basket’s elevated design helps keep excess moisture away from fruit while promoting airflow to extend freshness.
“The launch of the Berry Pod builds on the strength of our Pod line by introducing a new level of flexibility for how consumers prep, store and take fresh berries on the go,” said Michael Karyo, senior vice president of sales at Prepara. “Consumers want fresh foods that travel well and stay intact and the Berry Pod delivers on that.”
Prepara is launching the Berry Pod in multiple formats. Direct-to-consumer, the company is offering the Berry Basket, a modular accessory compatible with the existing Salad Pod system, for an MSRP of $3. For new users, a Salad Pod and Berry Basket bundle is available in green for $28 on Prepara.com. Through retail and Amazon distribution, Prepara is offering an all-in-one Berry Pod in red for $25. Retail distribution is rolling out through select partners and Amazon.
Prepara showcased the Berry Pod at The Inspired Home Show, where it earned global honors at the 2026 Global Innovation Awards (gia).
