Gibson Launching Sur La Table Kitchen Essentials

In its latest cookware initiative, Gibson Homewares is introducing Sur La Table Kitchen Essentials at The Inspired Home Show 2023.

Kitchen Essentials is the latest addition to the Sur La Table brand family. The Kitchen Essentials brand targets value-conscious consumers with its approachable price points, bright colors and whimsical designs. Retailers interested in courting budget-savvy customers can get a jump on the introduction by moving immediately, Gibson noted, as the first shipments are due to arrive at port shortly. 

At launch, Gibson pointed out, the Sur La Table Kitchen Essentials product line includes:

  • Everyday Pan: This enamel cast iron pan (pictured above) has a borosilicate glass lid and a stainless steel knob on top. The piece comes in a variety of glossy colors with a matte black interior. Suggested retail price is $59.99. 
  • Cutlery Set: The stylish 5-Piece Kitchen Essentials Cutlery Set skips the traditional slotted block approach and instead arrives as a magnetic beechwood knife stand where a chef’s knife, bread knife, Nakiri knife and paring knife all perch. Suggested retail price for the set is $129.99, while individual blades are available in open stock.
  • 10-Piece Aluminum Cookware Set: The 10-piece cookware set comes in five colors and the pots and pans have a non-stick ceramic interior designed for easy cleaning and healthy cooking. Each component incorporates an induction-ready base and a high-heat-resistant exterior. The set includes a Dutch oven, two saucepans, two fry pans and a sauté pan. Suggested retail price for the set is $149.99, while individual pieces are available in open stock. 

Accounting for recent shifts in the post-pandemic economy, Gibson expressed confidence that the time is right to introduce the esteemed Sur La Table brand to a broader range of income brackets.

“Sur La Table Kitchen Essentials is a fun, vibrant and attainable product program that will appeal to a broad new consumer base,” said Gibson senior vp of marketing and licensing David Nicklin, adding, “We’re sure that the new Sur La Table Kitchen Essentials program will both expand the brand’s consumer base and create numerous incremental sales opportunities along the way.”
