Frieling is bringing its Davanti placemats from restaurant dining rooms into the home market as interest in at-home dining and entertaining continues to grow.
Manufactured in Casablanca, Chile, since 1999, Davanti placemats were originally developed for commercial dining environments that require durable, hygienic tabletop solutions capable of withstanding frequent use.
Frieling is now positioning the placemats for home entertaining, combining commercial-grade durability with design elements suited to residential tablescapes.
Produced in a Casablanca, Chile, manufacturing facility, the placemats are made with phthalate-free materials using a solar-powered process that requires no water, Frieling noted. During production, copper nanoparticles are incorporated into the material to provide antimicrobial properties. Copper is registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as an antimicrobial material used on surface applications.
Davanti placemats wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. They are heat-resistant up to 160°F (70°C), helping protect table surfaces from hot dishes as well as scratches and everyday wear.
Constructed for repeated use, the placemats can be stored flat or rolled between meals, while an anti-slip backing helps keep them securely positioned during service.
Available in multiple shapes, colors and sizes, Davanti placemats are designed to complement a variety of tabletop styles while maintaining the durability required in hospitality environments.
