Conair Names Juster CEO; Diamond to Vice Chairman

Conair LLC appointed former Calphalon leader Kristie Juster president and CEO, effective January 8, 2024. Ron Diamond, Conair’s president and CEO since 2018 and a 44-year veteran of the company, will become vice chairman of its board of directors.

Juster, who most recently served as CEO of commercial furnishings manufacturer Kimball International, spent 22 years at Newell Rubbermaid (now Newell Brands), including leadership roles in various divisions, including the Calphalon brand and the Global Writing Division.

Under Diamond’s leadership, Conair became a global leader in personal care and kitchen appliances under such flagship brands as Conair and Cuisinart. As CEO, he transitioned Conair from a family-run business to an institutionally owned company with backing from American Securities LLC.  He was instrumental in acquiring key brands, including Cuisinart in 1989. Diamond was also central in developing and expanding Conair’s manufacturing capabilities in China.

“I feel beyond lucky to have had this career. I often say that I have never worked a day in my life,” Diamond said. “I have been fortunate to team up with great people doing something I am passionate about. Today, we are a thriving family of brands, and it means everything to me that I am able to pass along the baton to Kristie at a time when Conair is stronger than ever.”

“I am tremendously excited to be joining Conair,” Juster said. “It is an iconic company with a long, successful history. I am honored to be able to follow Ron as CEO. Lee Rizzuto and Ron built one of the world’s great companies. Today, Conair’s many brands are household names. It is the opportunity of a lifetime to be a part of Conair’s next chapter and to work with all the talented employees who have built the company. I am looking forward to engaging with all our employees, customers and suppliers.”
