Perigold has expanded its U.S. retail footprint with the opening of a second brick-and-mortar location, one in West Palm Beach, FL, designed to reflect the brand’s positioning in the upscale home furnishings market.
The 30,000-square-foot store mounts an expansive assortment of designer furniture, décor and lighting focused on South Florida’s design community and luxury consumers, the Wayfair banner indicated.
After its debut online, the first Perigold physical store debuted in Houston earlier this year. However, Perigold characterized the West Palm Beach store as the next step in the banner’s retail rollout, one offering customers and designers a physical space to explore the quality, craftsmanship and breadth of its curated collection.
The West Palm Beach location incorporates 10,000 square feet more space than the Houston store, allowing for the introduction of new design presentations. Unique to the West Palm Beach store are a dedicated sleep center where customers can check out top-tier bedding in a boutique setting and an expanded assortment of kitchen appliances.
The layout sets aside space for richly styled vignettes, dedicated collaboration areas for designers and clients, and gathering spaces for events and community programming, according to Perigold.
The design of the West Palm Beach store mirrors Perigold’s online experience, the banner asserted, and features more than 150 luxury home brands. The store offers shoppers Perigold’s signature Brand and Designer shops, immersive environments curated by celebrated designers. In West Palm Beach, these will include looks from nationally recognized names and local partners such as Helen Bergin to ensure the styles offered reflect the unique character of the town. The assortment is split between those products in store that are available to take home immediately and those that ship within a week.
The brick-and-mortar showcase two floors with soaring ceilings, abundant natural light and an outdoor balcony overlooking the main thoroughfare of CityPlace, the outdoor shopping district where it operates.
“West Palm Beach is a vibrant and fast-growing market, and our customers here are already deeply engaged with Perigold online,” said Rebecca Ginns, Global Head of Perigold, in announcing the second store. “By opening a store in CityPlace, we’re making it even easier for design-savvy shoppers and professionals to discover, experience, and collaborate with us in person.”
