Sur La Table Adds German-Made Cutlery Collection

Posted In: Retail Articles

Sur La Table has expanded its existing private label lineup by adding a cutlery collection handcrafted in Solingen, Germany.

The new collection pairs ice-hardened stainless steel for a lasting edge with walnut handles for a unique style that can dress up a kitchen, according to Sur La Table. The handles are curved for increased comfort and are part of a durable, full-tang construction, the company noted.

The collection includes, as described by Sur La Table:

  • Sur La Table Classic Santoku Knife, 7-inch. Designed for discerning home cooks, the versatile blade is lighter and more maneuverable than a chef’s knife and features a hollow-ground edge that glides through food without sticking. The ice-hardened blade is exceptionally sharp and boasts excellent edge retention. The balanced design of the knife provides comfort and control as users slice. Priced at $159.95.
  • Sur La Table Classic Steak Knives, Set Of Four. Knives that deftly slice through thick steaks, poultry and more while combining function and style. Full-tang construction and riveted handles provide strength. Priced at $249.95.
  • Sur La Table Classic Magnetic Knife Block. Modern knife block puts knives on display. Made from beautiful walnut wood with embedded magnets, the knife block safely and securely holds multiple knives in any arrangement. Priced at $69.95.
  • Sur La Table Classic Bread Knife, 8-inch. Features a scalloped edge that slices easily through tough crusts and peels without squashing delicate interiors. Ice-hardened blade provides exceptional edge retention for lasting sharpness. Priced at $149.95.
