Although it’s still struggling financially, Bed Bath & Beyond continues to roll out new promotions, which, in the case of Mother’s Day, reflect the national brand positioning the company’s management has promised it would assume again, at least to a degree.
The Mother’s Day promotions at the namesake banner and Buybuy Baby focus on helping consumers who are planning quality time, creating an experience and looking for quality gifts, the company noted.
Making breakfast for mom becomes the reason to consider purchasing a Dash Mini Waffle Maker, a Breville The Smart Oven Pro, an Oxo Good Grips Covered Pie Dish or the KitchenAid Artisan Series 5-quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer. Even if it is reemphasizing national brands, Bed Bath & Beyond continues to offer several private labels and one, Bee & Willow, in the form of a bed tray, is part of the breakfast-oriented promotional lineup. In the promotion, the waffle maker is priced at $13.59 down from $16.99 while the tray is listed at $32 down from $40 on the company’s website. Bed Bath & Beyond hadn’t listed direct discounts for the other two items online at press time but it is offering 20% off any single item with a coupon. In addition, the online description pages include the number of points a product purchase offers as an incentive to purchase and to sign up with the company’s membership program.
As part of its promotional strategy, private label products were prominent among the other items Bed Bath & Beyond spotlighted for Mother’s Day including the Bee & Willow Picnic Basket and Nestwell Egyptian Cotton Sateen 625-Thread-Count Sheets, Everhome Egyptian Cotton 700-Thread-Count Sheets, Nestwell Plush Cloud Soft Support and White Down Soft Support Pillows, Everhome Solid Egyptian Cotton Bath Towel, and Haven Organic Cotton Waffle & Terry Bath Towel. The company also featured the UGG Devon Down Alternative Quilted Comforter in the promotion announcement.
