Sur La Table Adding Stores, Enhancing Operations

For 2023, Sur La Table will continue on a growth course, adding new stores, expanding its private label program, bringing on new brands and collections, and enhancing the company’s culinary program.

In regards to store growth, Sur La Table will reenter the Natick, MA, market. The new Natick Mall location is part of an expansion effort that also includes new stores in Albany, NY, at Stuyvesant Plaza, and Darien, CT at Darien Commons. The Natick and Albany stores are beginning operations this July, and the Darien store will open in September, according to Sur La Table.  

The store openings will boost the shopping experience with activations that established Sur La Table operate including the Ask a Chef program that provides consumers advice and recommendations while shopping the store. As is the case with all Sur La Table locations, new store customers also can book a 1-on-1 session with an in-store expert for training, and they can experience demos on products ranging from knives to coffee makers and espresso machines. Shoppers can always get help from trained Sur La Table brand specialists available in-store to further enhance the buying experience, the banner noted

On the new brand front, Sur La Table now offers Calphalon and Great Jones products. Launches with popular brands include the GreenPan Craft Noire Cookware Collection and the Jura J8 Automatic Coffee Machine in Midnight Silver. The banner recently expanded its private label product line as well with the Cloud Ceramic Tabletop Collection, hand-glazed in Europe. In its private label program, Sur La Table will continue to grow its Signature Cookware and Bakeware collections, developed to provide high performance at a great value, the banner stated.  

In its culinary program, Sur La Table is adding more weeknight and Sunday evening classes to its Date Night Series and is currently offering summertime Kids & Teens Cooking Classes, with more than 10,000 young people taking three-, four- and five-day courses. 

In addition to all the rest, Sur La Table has introduced a new content center, Lid & Ladle by Sur La Table, featuring guided recipe videos, tips and tricks, and how-to’s that help consumers can learn, create and gather ideas at home.
