Ross Stores reported it continued its 2025 new store surge with openings at 28 Ross Dress for Less and three dd’s Discount locations across 16 states and Puerto Rico in June and July.
The stores in Puerto Rico are the first Ross locations in the commonwealth, the company pointed out. In all, the 31 new locations fall under company plans to add 90 stores, including 80 Ross and 10 dd’s Discounts, during fiscal 2025.
“These recent openings reflect our ongoing plans to continue building our presence in both existing and newer markets across our two off-price chains,” said Richard Lietz, Ross executive vice president, property development. “The summer opening group was particularly exciting with our inaugural opening of three Ross stores in Puerto Rico, coupled with the continued expansion into our newer markets of Michigan, Minnesota and New York. As planned, dd’s bolstered its presence in California, Florida and Texas with new locations. Looking ahead, we remain confident in our ability to grow to at least 2,900 Ross Dress for Less and 700 dd’s Discounts locations over time.”
Ross Dress for Less and dd’s Discounts, in combination, total 2,233 stores operating in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Guam and Puerto Rico.
