With summer underway, Nordstrom launched its first Brooklyn Local Service Hub, announced two upcoming Rack openings and prepared for its biggest promotional event of the year: the Anniversary Sale.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale crosses all major product categories the company sells, from home and beauty to women’s, men’s and children’s apparel. Nordstrom plans a staggered event launch. On Thursday, June 27, consumers can get a sneak peek at all anniversary sale merchandise online and add favorites to a Wish List. Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access kicks off on July 9 for Icons, the highest level customers in the company’s Nordy Club loyalty program, on July 10 for Ambassadors and July 11 for Influencers. Consumers in general can access the sale on July 15. The event continues through August 5.
Among planned deals, Nordstrom is cutting the price on featured Le Creuset to $289.99 from $462, on Parachute Duvet Covers to $149.99 – $164.99, from $200-$220, and on an Ugg Blanket to $64.99 from $98.
“Our annual anniversary sale is a celebration of style, savings, and exceptional experiences, featuring exclusive deals on new merchandise from the world’s best brands,” said Fanya Chandler, president of Nordstrom Stores in announcing the event. “We’ve heard from our customers how much our anniversary sale means to them and their families. Our dedicated team is excited to welcome everyone into our stores, helping customers feel good and look their best and leave with lasting memories.”
The 3,000 square-foot Brooklyn hub is Nordstrom’s third in New York City, following two in Manhattan, and opens its doors on June 26. It offers order pickup, returns, alterations, gift wrapping and recycling of beauty packaging.
The latest Nordstrom Rack locations announced are set for Flower Mound, TX, and Suwanee, GA, and will open in the fall.
The Nordstrom family and investor El Puerto de Liverpool took the company private earlier this year.
