Bergdorf Goodman has promoted Cheryl Han to senior vp of bergdorfgoodman.com and customer strategy and promoted Melissa Xides to senior vp of Bergdorf Goodman stores and brand operations.

The Bergdorf promotions come in the aftermath of Neiman Marcus Group’s appointment of Katie Anderson to executive vp, CFO.

Bergdorf Goodman is part of the Neiman Marcus Group.

Han joined Bergdorf in September 2018 as a contractor and partnered with Darcy Penick, president of Bergdorf Goodman, to establish the strategic growth plan for bergdorfgoodman.com. After leading the overhaul of the site experience and working on its first app in partnership with the company’s tech organization, Han transitioned to the in-house vp of Bergdorf Goodman Online in February 2020.

Xides joined Bergdorf in July 2019 as vp of customer experience, the company maintained. Before joining the company, she held a variety of executive leadership roles across stores, direct-to-consumer buying and retail for leading consumer brands including SoulCycle, Tory Burch, Jack Spade, Kate Spade and Gap, Bergdorf pointed out.

“I am incredibly proud of the work Cheryl and Melissa have done to build and develop talented teams, establish, and effectively deliver channel and customer strategies that are creating exciting momentum in the business. With their direction, I am confident that we will build upon our success as we continue to innovate on the luxury customer experience both online and in-store,” Penick stated.

Before joining Neiman Marcus, the company noted, Anderson served as Guess CFO after holding the same position at California Pizza Kitchen and Sprinkles.

“As we continue to execute our growth roadmap, Revolutionizing Luxury Experiences, ensuring we make decisions that drive sustainable and profitable growth, as well as high customer lifetime value, is key to our long-term success,” Geoffroy van Raemdonck, CEO, Neiman Marcus Group, indicated. “Katie’s accomplished background and financial acumen will guide NMG as we deliver against our key priorities to make life extraordinary for our customers, luxury brand partners and associates. I am confident that her experienced leadership in both public and private companies will be an asset to NMG as we evolve with a rapidly changing industry.”
