In its take on the summer season of retail promotions, QVC has launched its biggest Christmas in July event yet, one that is returning for 38th year and featuring Elton John, Martha Stewart, Kathy Hilton, Kim Gravel and Babs Costello, who takes on the new role of QVC Chief Cheer Officer.
Through July 31, the company announced, QVC is delivering the holiday spirit early with hundreds of specially priced items across home décor and other household goods, gourmet food, fashion and beauty among other categories that offer gifting opportunities for loved ones or shoppers themselves. Throughout the month, QVC personalities, dubbed “Merrymakers” for the promotion, will participate in exclusive content, make holiday product picks and provide insider tips.
QVC noted that Christmas in July highlights include:
- Martha Stewart providing a guide to holiday must-haves and hosting dos and dont’s.
- Elton John bringing his signature sparkle with a luxe line of candles and reed diffusers in partnership with Slatkin + Co.
- Kathy Hilton joining the celebration on July 12 with holiday styling tips.
- Kim Grave, an ambassador for the QVC Q50 program focused on mature women, debuting an all-new drop in her LWYA décor line including trees, wreaths, pillows and room accents.
QVC and HSN programming supporting the Christmas in July summer promotion includes “Wrapped!,” an original gift-wrapping game show hosted by Ricki Lake, all-new seasonally-themed episodes of “Busy This Week” hosted by Busy Philipps, “Gift Boss” hosted by Chelsea Phillips Reid and “Open Invitation” hosted by Nancy Yoon.
In addition, QVC is conducting a Merrymaker Sweepstakes, the company pointed out, giving consumers a chance to win picks from the Christmas in July product lineup curated by Q50 ambassador Babs Costello.
