Kohl’s is using just about all its resources to push its back-to-school and back-to-college promotions including its extensive loyalty-based discounting programs, a facet of the business the retailer just about always touts in its marketing initiatives.

Promotions for back to college include deals on dorm room essentials including furniture, bedding and decor as well as small appliances such as Keurig coffee makers and mini-refrigerators.

In its back-to-school promotional program, Kohl’s is mixing private label and branded apparel and accessories including backpacks as well as providing a lineup of uniform choices.

Back-to-school shoppers who sign up can earn $10 in Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent during this time period, giving not only consumers but also teachers and staff a chance to save on future purchases. Also, the retailer is providing a new, limited-time 20% educators discount from Friday, July 16 through Sunday, July 18.

In addition, with its national nonprofit partner, Alliance for a Healthier Generation, Kohl’s is donating $5 million over three years to expand its Healthy at Home initiative, which works closely with schools and community partners to provide resources for parents and caregivers that can help them more easily make healthy choices for families.

Kohls.com customers can browse a back-to-school page for curated assortments of relevant product categories, as well as download a back-to-school checklist to ensure nothing is forgotten. The Kohl’s App features a scan and store option for Kohl’s gift cards, Kohl’s Cash and savings offers and the ability to easily manage and redeem Kohl’s Rewards in a mobile wallet for easy access at checkout. Customers also can use Kohl’s Pay, which connects to a Kohl’s Card account.

“Everyone is gearing up for a return to a more normal year with kids heading back to school and adults beginning to socialize more with friends and families,” Greg Revelle, Kohl’s chief marketing officer, said in announcing the back to school promotional program.
