As it steps into the second half of the year, Kohl’s has introduced its slate of bargains for the back-to-school season and named a new chief digital officer.
Arianne Parisi steps into the CDO role at Kohl’s, supervising the digital operations for Kohls.com and the company’s app, in addition to supporting the broader business focus on enhancing the omnichannel customer experience, the company stated. She will join Kohl’s executive leadership team and report to interim CEO Michael Bender. Parisi previously held leadership roles at JD Sports, The Finish Line and Nordstrom, Kohl’s noted.
For back-to-school, Kohl’s is emphasizing value and proprietary brands. In addition to apparel and footwear, Kohl’s is addressing student needs, including backpacks, water bottles from Contigo, Simple Modern, Under Armour, Adidas and Nike, and ready-to-go food containers from Bentgo and Rubbermaid. For the off-to-college crowd, Kohl’s is stocking a range of household merchandise under $20, including decor, frames, small appliances, bath caddies and storage, as well as kitchen electronics under $25 and additional deals on Keurig, Cuisinart, and Ninja brand products. Kohl’s is also taking 50% off select styles of bedding, the company maintained.
On the Kohls.com landing page, the company features a back-to-school graphic that includes click-throughs to offers of 30% off up to 10 transactions for shoppers using its namesake credit card, as well as 20% off with a coupon.
