JCPenney is getting ready for the holidays by launching a guide to top deals and promising consumers that 97% of its in-store assortment is on sale.
JCPenney also is partnering with Warner Bros. Global Consumer Products on promotions tied to the Harry Potter franchise.
As part of its holiday efforts, JCPenney’s “Biggest Sale of the Season” will run from November 5-11, when shoppers can take advantage of the full range of in-store discounts and score a Golden Tote with any $25 or more purchase.
Other promotions include, the company stated:
- Really Big Deals. On select Thursdays, JCPenney will offer what it calls the steepest savings on seasonal musts and a few shiny treasures, based on peak consumer demand in top product categories. Each deal is limited to one weekend only and is available in-store and online on November 6-9, November 13-15 and December 11-13.
- 1000s of Deals $20 or Less. From November 12-December 25, shoppers will find popular products at bargain prices. Deals will range across categories such as home decor, velvet throws, and beauty gift sets, as well as women’s sweaters, all $20 or less.
- Holiday Daily Deals. From November 16-19, JCPenney will focus on themed discounts. They include, on November 16, “Get Cozy” deals on sleepwear, pajama sets, slippers and socks. Then, on November 17, it’s “Bundle Up” with outerwear, fleece and flannels. That will be followed by “Holiday Hosting” on November 18, featuring kitchen and bath essentials, and “Sparkly & Shine” savings applied to jewelry and dressy apparel for men and women on November 19.
- Black Friday Deals. Black Friday deals run for 10 days from November 20-29, along with giveaways in stores at 5 a.m., 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on November 27.
- Price Lock. From December 1-25, JCPenney is locking in low prices on top items for the season.
- Holiday Deals Week. Every Monday during the holiday season, JCPenney will post a “cheat sheet” to help shoppers find the best products and deals that week.
JCPenneyRewards Access members can earn $10 back when they spend $50, as part of the holiday festivities, up to four times, for use at JCPenney or Aéropostale. Ninja coffee makers and candles will be among featured products during the holiday sales.
For the Harry Potter tie-in, shoppers in select JCPenney stores can check out a Hogwarts Express train. In addition, consumers can participate in interactive activities at a JCPenney “Harry Potter Pop Up” event and shop a limited-time Harry Potter capsule showcasing kitchenware, including a stirring popcorn maker and a mug warmer set, plus themed matching pajamas, pendant necklaces, rings, bracelets, keychains, and toys. As part of its Black Friday initiatives, a select number of fans who enter JCPenney stores at opening will receive a limited-edition mini Hogwarts Express snow globe for free. Full-size versions of the snow globe will be available for purchase.
