EBay continues promoting recommerce and its own takes on second-hand goods with the debut of a Manhattan retail space dubbed The NYC Edit Market, which requires having or signing up for an account on the company’s website for entrance.
The destination is a physical representation of The NYC Edit, a destination on eBay featuring Big Apple resellers.
Located in the SoHo neighborhood, the market features coveted pieces inspired by The NYC Edit, which eBay launched online recently as a guide highlighting what style insiders in Gotham are buying and selling on the platform, the company noted. The NYC Edit contributors, a group that includes Eny Lee Parker and Talia Mayden, who focus on home decor and housewares, will offer products at the physical location.
Upon arrival at the NYC Edit Market, consumers can present an active listing from their eBay app or create one on-site. Dedicated listing stations at the market guide interested consumers through the process from photographing products to uploading images in real time. Items set up for entry at The NYC Edit Market will list on eBay.com, with select items featured on The NYC Edit hub starting April 17. Eligible items will undergo verification through eBay Authenticity Guarantee before reaching the buyer, eBay stated, reinforcing trust and confidence.
