Dollar General Promotes Three in Business Intelligence, Store Ops

Dollar General announced three appointments in its business intelligence and store operations departments.

The company reported Matthew Simonsen has transitioned to an expanded role as senior vice president, business intelligence and development from senior vice president, real estate and store development. He now leads the DG decision science and analytics team, as well as the process improvement team, while continuing to oversee the company real estate strategy, execution and management for Dollar General and Mi Súper Dollar General stores.

April Crofford was named vice president, store facilities management, for which she will continue to evolve and lead Dollar General’s field maintenance technician program, as well as help support the execution of DG’s Renovate and Elevate remodel projects. Crofford has held leadership roles in DG’s field facilities maintenance department, including her most recent role as senior director, store facilities management, Dollar General noted.

In addition, Dollar General has promoted Tito Rydinsky to division vice president, store operations. He will lead operations for more than 2,200 stores across the Midwest and South Central regions and was most recently senior director, store operations, DG pointed out.

Dollar General recently named Emily Taylor as COO as its executive suite continues to evolve.
