Walmart is launching an outdoor living collection with Dave and Jenny Marrs, a builder and designer duo who host the HGTV show “Fixer to Fabulous.”
In a blog post introducing the 30-item collection of outdoor furnishings, Julie Barber, senior vp, hardlines, Walmart U.S. said the Marrs Collection By Better Homes & Gardens is inspired by the livable, elevated style the couple champions.
She stated:
Over the past few years, Walmart has focused on building our assortment to bring high-quality, stylish home goods and décor to customers at an incredible value. This includes adding exciting national brands to our portfolio and launching strategic collaborations with designers and influencers that bring exclusive and elevated product lines to Walmart customers at accessible prices.
Today, I am so excited to announce the Dave and Jenny Marrs Collection for Better Homes & Gardens, our latest collaboration with TV personalities and builder/designer duo, Dave and Jenny Marrs. Inspired by Dave’s master carpentry skills and Jenny’s admired aesthetic, the Walmart-exclusive collection launches with 30 outdoor home and décor items designed to create the perfect backyard oasis, just in time for warmer weather.
The collection isn’t lower end, with a Teak Wood Outdoor Dining Table priced at $997 and a Teak Wood Porch Swing priced at $897. On the other end of the spectrum, planters range in price from $11.97 to $49, Walmart noted.
The collection features neutral colors and handcrafted elements with natural wood and clay, chunky open weaves and antique brass in a style that reflects what the Marrs duo has at home, which, according to HGTV, is in Bentonville, AK. Consumers can purchase most items in the collection already, Barber noted, and a significant proportion is posted on walmart.com, with more arriving soon.
Over the past several years, she added, consumers have come to treat their outdoor spaces as design extensions of what’s inside the home. In line with its ongoing initiatives, Walmart will continue offering new items in the Dave and Jenny Marrs Collection for Better Homes & Gardens on a seasonal basis and will expand it into indoor furniture and décor in the near future.
Walmart launches the Dave and Jenny Marrs collection just after Target announced its home product lineup for summer, one that includes new items from Hearth & Hand with Magnolia, which is designed in conjunction with its own builder and designer dynamic duo, Chip and Joanna Gaines.
