In preparation for its 42nd birthday, BJ’s Wholesale Club is giving members a 42% discount on a range of products from household items to health and beauty merchandise, pantry staples and apparel.
The birthday event, running from September 24 to October 31, debuts before other major retail promotions, including Amazon Prime Big Deal Days and Target Circle Deal Days, both launching October 6. BJ’s has positioned the birthday deals as a kicker to major fall merchandise promotions, including tailgating supplies such as a Char-Broil 200 Portable Gas Grill priced at $89.99, a private label Berkley Jensen Grilling Set, two-piece, at $24.99, and an Igloo Latitude 90-quart roller cooler at $44.98.
The promotion extends to Halloween merchandise, including various candies and a 60-inch-tall Berkley Jensen Light and Sound Mummy Curse, priced at $79.99. Fall décor with special member pricing includes a Berkley Jensen Metal Halloween Candle Holder with LED tea lights, priced at $29.99, and a range of Glitzhome products, including a 14-inch Fall Floral Cart Centerpiece. At the same time, BJ’s is running a furniture sale with discounts of up to 30%.
The Foley opening will drive BJ’s store count to 268 club stores across 22 states. It follows three club launches BJ’s executed in May, all in Texas. The opening in Waxahachie, TX, was BJ’s second in the Lone Star State, and the company followed up with new clubs in Fort Worth and Grand Prairie. BJ’s opened its first Texas club in April in the town of Forney.
