Beyond has officially relaunched Buy Buy Baby online in time for Mother’s Day and with a Welcome Baby event through May 12, offering customers access to premium infant and toddler gear and essentials through a reimagined and reliable digital shopping experience.
At the same time, Beyond, through its subsidiary, Zion Peaks, has initiated its first crowdfunding offering of a tokenized digital security linked to certain Buy Buy Baby intellectual property, in a move similar to what it did with its Overstock operation.
The promotion includes an additional 15% off labels such as Sorelle, Evenflo and Oxford Baby, and an additional 10% off for first-purchase email subscribers. Then, Buy Buy Baby will offer curated collections from such brands as Peg Perego, Diaper Genie, Hudson Baby and Graco. Daily giveaways on social media featuring premium baby bundles valued at over $100 will round out the promotional effort.
“We are thrilled Buy Buy Baby is back together with Bed Bath & Beyond to create key life stage shopping moments,” said Marcus Lemonis, Beyond executive chairman and principal executive officer, announcing the relaunch. “The seamless integration of curated product assortment, intuitive site experience and targeted marketing represents our commitment to meeting the needs of today’s parents with our ‘Welcome Baby’ event.”
Zion Peaks wants to raise at least $250,000 by October 15, with a maximum offering amount of $1.2 million, which will increase Zion Peaks’ capitalization and financial flexibility, create a market for its tokenized digital securities, and increase awareness of the Buy Buy Baby brand, Beyond maintained. Holders of the company’s common stock as of April 1 can take advantage of preferred subscription pricing of $5 per share. The share price for other investors is $10, Beyond noted.
