Beyond Reinforces Merchandising, Digital Leadership

As it further reorganizes the growing company, Beyond, parent of Bed Bath & Beyond, Overstock, and Zulily, has announced the addition of multiple executives to management.

The new additions are, the company stated:

  • Guncha Mehta, appointed chief digital and information officer
  • Stacey Shively, appointed chief merchandising officer, Bed Bath & Beyond
  • Angela Minor, appointed chief marketing officer, Bed Bath & Beyond
  • Deb Bollom, appointed chief merchandising officer, Overstock
  • Steph Whitacre, appointed senior vice president, general manager, Zulily
  • Jennifer Evans, appointed senior vice president marketing, Beyond
  • Alexis Callahan, appointed vice president of investor relations and public relations
  • Chris Peake, appointed director of merchandising, Zulily

Mehta is a global technology expert who has held various senior leadership roles at Madison Square Garden, Avis Budget Group and The Children’s Place before joining Party City Holdings as senior vice president, chief information officer in 2021.

Shively joins Beyond from The Container Store, where she was chief merchandising officer. Before that, she was at legacy Bed Bath & Beyond and held merchant leadership roles at JCPenney, Fingerhut/Bluestem Brands and Dollar Tree, and began her career at Target.

Minor has leadership positions at Michael’s, Pier 1, Sears, Kmart and most recently, as chief marketing officer for specialty retailer Conn’s HomePlus. She began her career in consulting with McKinsey & Co..

Bollom has been promoted from her previous role as chief merchandising officer for Bed Bath & Beyond. She has more than 25 years of prior merchandising experience running multi-billion-dollar businesses for Target.

Whitacre has been promoted from her previous role as vice president, merchandising. Prior to joining Beyond, she held leadership merchandising positions at Saks Off Fifth, Bloomingdale’s and Burberry, and began her career at Bergdorf Goodman.

Evans has been promoted from her previous role as vice president, integrated marketing. Her new role includes overseeing Overstock and Zulily marketing as well as content and brand partnerships for Beyond. She spent nine years at legacy Bed Bath & Beyond after holding sales and marketing leadership positions at Time Warner and The Walt Disney Co.

Callahan is rejoining Beyond, having spearheaded the development of the IR program at Overstock in 2020 and has since implemented strategic investor relations programs at Tupperware Brands and Esperion Therapeutics. She previously spent more than 15 years in investor relations and investment banking.

Peake brings almost three years of experience from legacy Zulily, where he was most recently merchandise director. Before that, he spent 16 years at Zappos and began his career in merchandising and operations at Lombardi Sports.
