Amazon reported it is offering free-delivery access to more retailers serving Amazon Prime members.
The company has developed the recently launched Amazon Supply Chain Services (ASCS) to bring together the company’s freight, distribution, fulfillment and parcel shipping capabilities for businesses of all sizes, it pointed out. Through ASCS, existing and new Multichannel Fulfillment merchants selling in the United States will be able add fast, free Prime delivery on their own websites at no additional cost while enjoying a discount program on fulfillment fees. MCF, the third-party logistics service within ASCS, will provide Prime delivery access to help sellers drive first-time and repeat purchases while allowing them to retain their existing returns and customer service services, Amazon noted.
In a second initiative, ASCS is launching the MCF Preferred Pricing Program, which allows Fulfillment by Amazon sellers to save up to 25% on fulfillment fees for orders placed across their own websites, marketplaces and social media channels. MCF Preferred Pricing gives merchants deeper discounts the more they ship. It combines FBA credits on each unit shipped with a discount on MCF fulfillment fees with, with savings of 15% to 25% on such charges for the first six months.
The new Amazon services complement the ASCS Buy with Prime program, which combines delivery with customer service and merchandise returns, the company stated.
