Amazon officially announced the company’s annual Prime Day promotion will run in July, although it is being scant with details, including the exact dates.
However the tariff issue concludes, Amazon’s Prime members can look forward to July discounts across more than 35 product categories including kitchen, electronics, beauty and apparel, the company noted. Prime Day also will give consumers a chance to take advantage of discounts during their early back-to-school shopping.
According to Amazon, last year’s Prime Day promotion, held on July 16 and 17, rung up record-breaking sales. Amazon moved more items during the two-day promotion than during any previous Prime Day event, the company maintained.
Independent sellers on the Amazon platform, mostly small and medium-sized businesses, ran through more than 200 million items during the 2024 Prime Day event, the company asserted.
Beyond the United States, Amazon will again conduct its Prime Day promotion in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. In addition, Amazon is extending Prime Day to Ireland and Colombia for the first time this year.
