Versuni North America, the global licensee for Philips Domestic Appliances, has launched the Philips OneUp electric mop.

OneUp continuously dispenses clean water while simultaneously moving dirty water to a separate tank. It has a lightweight cordless design, reusable microfiber pad and click-in system that is designed to make cleaning faster and more hygienic, the company said. The dual-tank system keeps fresh water separate from dirty water, and the OneUp works on sealed hardwood, laminate, vinyl, stone, concrete and linoleum.

“Traditional mopping has a dirty secret: almost as soon as you start cleaning, you’re cleaning with dirty water,” said Alex Emmanuele, category marketing manager. “The Philips OneUp was built to change that. You’re not just moving the mess around your floors. It is fundamentally a better way to mop, and we believe once people experience the difference, they won’t want to go back.”

OneUp also uses a proprietary detergent solution, with a single drop used for an entire water tank. The detergent dispenser is built into the tank. The reusable cleaning pad is designed to click into place and stay securely attached throughout use. It is machine washable with an expected lifespan of up to six months.

The Philips OneUp portfolio offers two options. The Philips OneUp 3000 Series ($169.99 suggested retail price) features a lightweight design with a single wetness setting for hard floors. It delivers up to 50 minutes of runtime and can clean up to 540 square feet on a single tank fill. The OneUp 5000 Series ($229.99) features a slimmer design, faster charging, larger water tanks and two different wetness settings. It has up to 70 minutes of runtime and can clean up to 740 square feet on a single fill.

The Philips OneUp 3000 Series and 5000 Series are available for purchase now and will arrive at additional retailers in the coming weeks, according to the company. Replacement cleaning pads ($29.99) and two-pack detergent bottles ($29.99) will also be available wherever OneUp is sold.
