Jura Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of the Swiss manufacturer of premium fully automatic coffee machines, recently cut the ribbon on its new U.S. hospitality and service center in south-central Pennsylvania.

The ribbon cutting at the state-of-the-art service facility in Mount Joy, PA, took place in front of more than 200 guests, including officials from Jura’s U.S. and Swiss operations, the Swiss consulate in New York City, local politicians and business officials and dozens of Jura specialty retail customers from across the U.S. The retailers were hosted at the center the next day for Jura’s annual North American new product conference.

Jura broke ground in January 2024 on the new hospitality and service center, which replaces the company’s original service center nearby and is set to begin full operation in early September. The facility, operated by local appliance service specialist Bates Enterprises in partnership with Jura, is designed to provide what Jura describes as a “white-glove customer service experience.” Consumers can drop off machines needing service or repair, receive quick, efficient service, and visit a showroom to explore the latest in bean-to-cup technology, according to Jura. The center also accepts machines shipped in by consumers, making it the only official Jura-certified U.S. service center.

Emanuel Probst, CEO of Jura Elektroapparate AG (Switzerland), told attendees that the new center embodies the company’s commitment to sustainability, as seen in the building’s design and construction, and in the quality and longevity of its premium coffee machines.

“This service center is central to our U.S. growth,” Probst said, noting that July 2026 was the first time Jura’s U.S. operation sold more units in a month than the company’s historically top-selling German subsidiary. “It gives our trade partners here tonight another reason for confidence in Jura.”

Tom McMahon, president of Montvale, NJ-based Jura Inc., added, “Jura’s investment in this center is a commitment to growing our business in the U.S. market. This commitment extends to you, our U.S. retail partners and extends long after the sale of the product in your stores.”

Geothermal energy powers the 94,000-square-foot  center’s heating and cooling system, and ceiling-mounted radiant panels provide efficient climate control. A solar energy system is designed to provide, according to Jura, approximately 1,800 kilowatts per day, supplying the center’s needs and returning excess power to the grid

The hub of the service center is an open area with several diagnostic and repair stations equipped with all digital and manual tools and access to all parts needed to assess and repair (when possible) the full range of Jura coffee machines. Each machine serviced also undergoes a deep cleaning process (think a hands-on car wash for coffee machines) at a dedicated station before it is repacked and returned to its owner.

Jeff Bates, owner of Bates Enterprises, said the objective is for most serviced and repaired Jura machines to be processed and returned to owners within about a day.

“This building reflects Jura’s principle of repairing rather than replacing as much as possible to extend the life of our products,” Bates said.
