Lifetime Brands Launches Mikasa Black Label for Premium Tabletop Demand

Lifetime Brands has introduced Mikasa Black Label, described by the company as a premium tabletop collection positioned around European-inspired design and higher-end materials.

The collection includes dinnerware, glassware and flatware and will be distributed through bridal registries and specialty retailers, according to Lifetime Brands. It will be presented in upscale packaging as the company targets consumers trading up within the tabletop category.

“Mikasa Black Label represents a natural evolution for the brand,” said David Mackrell, dinnerware division president of Lifetime Brands. “We’re seeing strong demand for tabletop products that feel elevated and usable, products that bring a sense of occasion to everyday dining while delivering on quality and design. This collection answers that demand through refined craftsmanship, curated materials and contemporary silhouettes.”

Dinnerware and glassware in the collection are sourced from Portugal and made of stoneware, with hand-finished detailing that creates subtle variation across pieces.

The initial assortment focuses on reactive-glaze finishes. The Ashen Dinnerware collection features a deep black glaze and sculpted silhouette, while Terra Grey offers a softer gray finish with a speckled texture and halo rim. Both collections retail for $119.99 per place setting.

Flatware in the collection is made of 18/12 stainless steel and manufactured in Vietnam, with designs ranging from transitional to contemporary.

“Flatware has long been dominated by 18/10 stainless steel, said Chris Wile, metals division president of Lifetime Brands. “By offering 18/12, we’re providing a meaningful upgrade. The elevated nickel content in 18/12 enhances corrosion resistance, improves long-term durability and delivers a brighter, more reflective finish compared to standard 18/10 flatware.”

With Mikasa Black Label, Lifetime Brands is targeting consumers who are consolidating their spend into fewer, higher-quality tabletop purchases, particularly as interest in home entertaining and design-led assortments continues.

“Mikasa Black Label is about elevating the art of the table,” Mackrell said. “It brings together heritage, craftsmanship and modern living in a way that feels both relevant and aspirational.”

The full assortment of Mikasa Black Label dinnerware, glassware and flatware will be on display in the Lifetime Brands showroom during New York Tabletop Market from April 14–17, 2026.
