KitchenAid has introduced the Smart Thermometer, a wireless, app-connected cooking tool designed to help home cooks achieve precise doneness when grilling, roasting, smoking, air frying or cooking on the stovetop.
The KitchenAid Smart Thermometer pairs with the KitchenAid App to deliver step-by-step guidance, real-time temperature monitoring and alerts while allowing users to move around the home during cooking. Long-range Bluetooth connectivity, waterproof durability (up to six hours) and rechargeable power designed for extended cooks are designed to bring added ease, precision and confidence to everyday cooking.
“Cooking should feel relaxing and intuitive, not stressful,” said Chadwick Ries, global head of product, brand and insights at KitchenAid Small Appliances. “The KitchenAid Smart Thermometer is designed to guide you through the cooking process with clear, timely notifications, so you can focus on enjoying the moment and still serve food cooked exactly the way you intended.”
Features include:
- Monitoring of both internal food temperature and ambient cooking temperature
- Guided notifications that alert users when to flip, remove and rest food
- Bluetooth connectivity from up to 285 feet away
- A rechargeable battery delivering up to 24 hours of runtime on a full charge, with a quick-charge option providing up to five hours of cooking after five minutes of charging
- A waterproof, dishwasher-safe design
- A magnetic docking base for convenient storage on metal surfaces
Through the KitchenAid App, users can monitor cooking progress with Graph View, save up to 20 “favorite cooks” for repeat results and access timers and alerts designed to keep cooking on track while multitasking. A Range Extender Mode allows users to monitor progress remotely using a second internet-connected device.
