The Kirby Company, which has sold its premium home cleaning systems directly to consumers for more than 110 years, is entering the retail and e-commerce markets for the first time with the launch of its new Kirby Signature Series of vacuum cleaners.
The Kirby Signature Series introduces three new premium vacuum models available through Kirby.com, select appliance and electronics retailers, home improvement and furniture retailers, vacuum stores and leading online marketplaces, including Amazon.com and BestBuy.com, the company reported.
The launch is positioned to complement Kirby’s longstanding direct-sales model. Kirby’s authorized distributors will continue to offer and provide personalized, in-home demonstrations of the Kirby Avalir Platinum S3 home cleaning system, its flagship product, according to the company.
“As consumer shopping behavior changes, Kirby needs to evolve with these changes,” said Kirby President and CEO Joseph Francesconi. “Millions of consumers will never get to experience an in-home demonstration of our flagship Kirby Avalir Platinum S3, yet they purchase vacuums in stores and online every day. We will now meet the consumer where they make their purchase decision and provide premium products that meet and exceed their needs…quality, durability, and performance.”
Here is a look at the Kirby Signature Series lineup:
- Kirby V530 Upright Vacuum: The Kirby V530 ($799 retail price) combines what the company calls “Maxflo” clean air technology, “PureAir” dual HEPA filtration, a multi-surface power nozzle with “LumiGuide” LEDs, a 40-foot cleaning radius, an onboard stretch hose, and “Glide Control” for smooth maneuverability.
- Kirby C530 Canister Vacuum with Turbo Nozzle: The Kirby C530 ($749 retail price) features a “Turbo Nozzle” with adjustable suction, “PureAir” dual HEPA filtration, a stainless-steel telescopic wand, 4-speed “AirFlow Control,” “Glide Control,” and a 37-foot cleaning radius.
- Kirby C550 Canister Vacuum with Multi-Surface Power Nozzle: The Kirby C550 ($999 retail price) for carpets and hard floors features a multi-surface power nozzle with “LumiGuide” LEDs, MAXFLOW® motor with clean air technology, “PureAir” dual HEPA filtration, 4-speed “AirFlow Control,” “Glide Control” and a 37-foot cleaning radius.
All three Signature Series models deliver category-leading cleaning efficiency based on ASTM F608 testing and are backed by an eight-year limited warranty, including eight years on the unit motor and labor and five years on all other parts and labor, according to Kirby.
