Robotic appliance maker iRobot Corp. has launched the Roomba Max 705 Combo Robot + AutoWash Dock, described by the company as its most powerful and intelligent two-in-one floor cleaner to date.
Designed for busy homes, the Roomba Max 705 Combo delivers a deep, hands-free clean with 175-times more power-lifting suction than the Roomba 600 series robots, according to iRobot. It uses AI-driven technology to avoid objects and pets, and it has a roller mop cover to keeps carpets dry.
“Bringing customers an uncompromised clean through cutting-edge technology remains our top priority,” said Gary Cohen, iRobot CEO. “The Roomba Max 705 Combo combines more than three decades of our category expertise with the latest technology to deliver an elevated cleaning performance that no other two-in-one offers today.”
At the core of the Roomba Max 705 Combo is the all-new PowerSpin Roller Mop with PerfectEdge, iRobot’s most advanced mopping system available to date. It is continuously washed during use, and the mop extends to get deep into corners. The company’s AutoWash Dock offers up to 75 days of self-emptying, heated mop washing and drying, self-cleaning and auto-refilling to deliver a hands-free cleaning experience.
Through the Roomba Home App or a voice assistant (Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant-enabled devices), customers can schedule cleaning, set no-go zones and clean by room, object or floor type.
The Roomba Max 705 Combo Robot + AutoWash Dock will be available in North America later in the year.
